I've run out of room in my shop. Something must go, so I'm going to do some cleanup and downsizing. I have a like-new 7x12 mini-lathe, some shop accessories, old electronics magazines, etc. that I will be posting here from time to time over the next few weeks or months.
My home shop is located in Fairfax, VA, about 15 miles west of Washington, DC. I would prefer not to ship some of the heavier items (over 20 lbs.), so they will initially be offered on a local-pickup-only basis. If I get no bidders, I may then offer to ship the items as needed.
Most items will be offered as "best offer over $xxx received via email by <Date> <Time>". I've sold a few machine tools this way in the past, and it has worked well for both buyer and seller. Sort of like eBay, without the middle-man charges.
Payment can be made by PayPal, credit card or personal check - or cash if you pick it up. Note: personal checks cannot be used for items over $20 that are picked up. Personal checks may be used for items that will be shipped, but it may take a week or two for the check to clear before I ship the item.
All bids should be sent to: mini_lathe<@>yahoo.com
Note: Don't include the braces < > around the @ sign; they are shown here to help prevent spam scanners from finding the email address. The character between mini and lathe is an underscore, not a hyphen.
Note: Unlike on eBay, the bids displayed are not immediately updated. In the event of two or more bidders submitting identical bids near the end of the auction, the tying high bid with the earliest time stamp will be the winner.
Initial bidding has ended 6pm ET 1/23/10. I have extended the bidding for the items that have not yet sold.

This is the actual lathe featured in my Homier 7x12 review article, so you can get all the details there. It was manufactured by Sieg in 2002 and sold as the Speedway brand by Homier.
I was keeping this lathe as a spare, in case my main mini-lathe died, but it never has. So this one has been sitting, unused, on a shelf in my shop. It is in perfect, like-new condition, no rust or other problems. Plus, it is clean, adjusted and ready to plug in and go to work.

Included with the lathe are the standard accessories:

These are not complete sets; not every issue for a given year is necessarily included. Most of the magazines are in pretty good shape, but no warranty is made regarding condition or completeness.

These manuals contain detailed technical specifications, pin-outs, graphs, charts, capability descriptions and sample circuits for the seminconductor chips they describe. Although they are dated 1990 (one is 1989), many (most?) of the chips described are still in common use today; the 4000-series of CMOS chips, for example.
